CCVC strongly believes that our neighbors, our community, and our planet and the plants and animals we share it with are ours to care for and protect. To that end, we try to commit to environmentally friendly health protocols, promote environmental stewardship, and give back to the community by aiding local organizations that help people and pets, and promote the community service that benefits us all.
Here at the clinic, we use 100% recycled paper for our forms, handouts and medical files. We recycle the non-medical plastic products we use, and the cardboard and paper that we would otherwise throw away. Our flooring is made of a environmentally friendly version of linoleum, called marmoleum, and sealed with a flooring glue that does not produce hazardous gases. The walls were painted using a low VOS latex paint, that produces fewer toxic gases during prodution, and off gasses less during application.
To give back to the community, we offer discounts for all pets rescued from a local shelter or rescue organization. This discount applies to all services for the first 6 months after adoption, and for a year after adoption for vaccinations and wellness care. We also work closely with the Lincoln Animal Shelter, Cumberland Animal Shelter, Doberman Rescue Unlimited, Italian Greyhound Rescue, All American Dachsund Rescue, Out of the Pits and into the Ritz Bully Breed Rescue, and the Cat Adoption Team Services and Woonsocket Cat Sanctuary. To adopt a pet, or learn how you can help these rescue groups, please visit their websites.
We are also a drop off center for Operation American Soldier and Clothes To Go. Clothes to Go is a drive to gather donated clothing and household items for families in need. Gently used clothing, outerwear and linens are always appreciated. The drive is sponsered by a local church group from the United Faith Methodist Church in Mansfield Mass, and has provided help to families all over the country. Please visit their websites for more information.
We would like to start giving back to the community and giving donations to the following organizations this holiday season.
The Jimmy Fund
Multiple Sclerosis Society
American Red Cross
Providence Animal Rescue League
Appalacian Mountain Club
Fisher House for Veterans

If you would like to make a donation to one of these wonderful organizations, please stop by, and see Amy, Lara or Erin at the front desk to donate a dollar to local charities, or visit one of the websites below to help out.

OPERATION AMERICAN SOLDIER
Our troops serving overseas are in need of some basic necessities, and remembrance. Operation America Soldier was started by a local family who has children and other family members serving in the armed forces. It soon became clear that there were some items that could make life just a little easier over there, and some soldiers that could use a letter or a note to remind them that home is really not as far as it seems sometimes. All sorts of donations are welcome.
The web site provides a list of the requests the Rocca's are getting from the soldiers. Monetary donations are also very much appreciated as shipping costs are the biggest expense they run into.
For more information, please visit the Operation American Soldier Website.
